Coach Educator Opportunities

The Gibraltar Football Association is looking to expand its pool of qualified and motivated Coach Educators to support the delivery of the GFA Coach Education programme.

This is an opportunity for experienced coaches and educators to play an important role in the development of coaches across Gibraltar, supporting their learning, mentoring and progression through the GFA and UEFA Coach Education pathways.

Successful applicants will be engaged on a self-employed/freelance basis, according to the requirements of individual courses and programmes.

We are inviting applications from individuals interested in delivering one or more of the following:

  • UEFA Grassroots Leaders Mentor
  • Introduction to Coaching Futsal Mentor
  • Introduction to Coaching Goalkeeping Mentor
  • UEFA C Diploma Educator
  • UEFA C Diploma Futsal Educator
  • GFA C Goalkeepers Certificate Educator
  • UEFA B Diploma Educator
  • UEFA B Goalkeeper Diploma Educator
  • UEFA B Futsal Diploma Educator

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on the course and role, Coach Educators may be required to:

  • Deliver practical, classroom and online learning sessions
  • Mentor and support coaches throughout their development
  • Observe and assess coaching practice
  • Provide constructive and developmental feedback
  • Support course planning, delivery and review
  • Work collaboratively with the GFA Coach Education team
  • Maintain the standards and requirements of the GFA and UEFA
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding and safer working practices

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should:

  • Hold the relevant coaching qualification for the area or areas they wish to deliver
  • Have suitable coaching, mentoring and/or Coach Education experience
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to support and develop coaches with different levels of experience
  • Be committed to the values, standards and development philosophy of the GFA Coach Education programme

Specific qualification and experience requirements may vary depending on the course or pathway being delivered.

Working Arrangements

Coach Educators will form part of a pool of individuals who may be engaged according to course delivery requirements and availability.

Delivery will be scheduled according to the requirements of each course or programme and may include daytime, evening and weekend sessions.

Coach Educators will be engaged on a self-employed basis, with work offered according to course requirements. Individuals will invoice the GFA for the sessions or services they deliver and will be responsible for their own tax and social insurance arrangements.

Rates of payment will be confirmed according to the course and type of work undertaken.
